Windmöller & Hölscher (W&H) is one of the leading machine manufacturers in the world for the flexible packaging industry. With a staff of about 2100 employees at 16 locations within the W&H group worldwide, the sales achieved in 2007 amounts to approximately € 450 million. The manufacturing program includes blown and cast film extrusion systems, flexo and gravure printing presses, coating and laminating equipment, bag, sack and carrier bag machines, woven film processing lines and packaging machines.

VAREX extrusion lines represent the latest state of the art in blown film technology. Because of their modularity, the VAREX blown film extrusion systems can be exactly tailored to any specific requirement profile. Their universal range of applications include anything from 8 micron PE-HD liner film to 9-layer barrier film.

Cast Film Extrusion Lines FILMEX

FILMEX stands for custom configured cast film lines for the production of demanding films that are geared to a great variety of packaging applications ranging from bread, meat and confectionery to stretch and protective films for the safe transportation and handling of the most diverse products.The FILMEX is capable of handling all customary polymer groups such as PP, PE, PA, EVOH and tie layer resins equally perfectly.

Flexo Printing Presses PRIMAFLEX C, MIRAFLEX C, NOVOFLEX C, ASTRAFLEX, VISTAFLEX C

Windmöller & Hölscher offers an extensive range of flexo printing presses for flexible packaging applications. Central cylinder flexographic presses of any size and performance standard give you a wide choice or repeat lengths and production capabilities.

Gravure Presses HELIOSTAR G and HELIOSTAR S

Gravure printing presses, based on W&H's over 50 years of experience in the design and construction of gravure presses for package printing applications, are available for the most different substrates and meet the requirements when it comes to productivity and quality.

Laminating Machines VARICOATER LF (LF = solventless)

High capacity laminating machines for demanding laminates consisting of plastic films, paper, aluminium foil and similar materials.

Bag and Sack Machines

Windmöller & Hölscher commands decades of experience and the biggest share in the paper sack and FFS (Form, Fill, Seal) market segments. We are the only manufacturer to offer, in addition to the FFS system, the complete upstream equipment from our own manufacture, including FFS film extrusion and converting machines. The program is completed by bottomers for hot-air sealed valve sacks made our of coated woven film.

Packaging Machines DIAMANT, TOPAS, OPAL, RUBIN

Windmöller & Hölscher is the world leading provider of FFS systems. FFS (Form, Fill, Seal) is the integral packaging concept designed for bag making, filling and closing in a single pass on the same machine and provides the highest efficiency level for many packaging applications.
