Introducing Hans Rychiger AG

Hans Rychiger AG was founded in 1918. At first it was a repair shop for bikes, cars, and mechanical devices. However, in 1927 the construction of special machines had already begun.

In 2001 the company, that has been family owned since its foundation, was taken over by the Swiss investment company SPEGA (Spécialités Gastronomiques).

Today machines and units are manufactured mainly for filling and sealing. Thanks to our many years of experience, we have built up a reputation in the fields of filling difficult products and heat sealing.

In these areas, we can assist you with our expertise beginning with advice all the way up to the production phase. With approximately 100 employees we manufacture machines that are in continuous use throughout the world.

Our Core Competence – Special Applications For Filling And Sealing

When sealing containers in the areas of food, animal food, chemicals, cosmetics, and pharmaceuticals, the product has to be protected from the surrounding elements on the one hand and should be easy to open on the other hand.

For these reasons, packaging in plastics, aluminium, carton or tin is used for many applications. These packages are sealed with either plastic, multi-layer or aluminium foil.

The foil is sealed onto the packaging by means of heat sealing. Depending on the requirements, the lid foil can be pre-punched and placed on the packaging or punched out directly from a roll stock and then subsequently sealed on.

In either case, heat sealing is the bond between the package and the lid. The lid (membrane) is sealed onto the package using pressure and temperature. This ensures precise sealing and is simultaneously easy to open with a pull-tab.
