Cellpack AG Packaging

Plastics Technology, Office Automation, Electrical Products and Packagings

The Cellpack Company in Villmergen, Switzerland, Aargau canton, can look back on an eventful corporate history of over 60 years. In the business sector of flexible packagings the company has recently invested further in flexographic printing, which has long been the predominant printing process in the company, and procured a Novoflex® single cylinder 8-colour flexographic printing machine from Windmöller & Hölscher. A laminating station already in existence from the Italian manufacturer Nordmeccanica has been integrated in this machine.

Cellpack today has four entirely different business divisions, namely plastics technology, office automation, electrical products and also packagings. Of the total corporate turnover of approx. 200 million CHF, the latter division contributes a proportion of around 30 millions and is therefore the smallest, but also the oldest division. The company was founded in 1935. It originated from the straw- braiding industry typical of the region around Wohlen. But even in those days there were worldwide contacts, also in the plastics sector, e.g. cellophane. This product also gave the new company its name.
