Abbey Polythene Ltd

Abbey Polythene, established in 1996, are converters of UK sourced Low Density Polythene. We manufacture liners, sacks, sheeting, polythene bags, tubing and covers in a wide range of sizes and colours, clear, opaque or tint, in virgin food grade or recycled material.

We offer a bespoke service , specialising in small to medium run quantities. Specialist products can be produced such as biodegradable, anti-static, flame retardant, UV stabiliser, scent, and EVA for freezer use. We also offer a print design service for fixed or random prints on bags, centrefold or single wound sheeting or tubing.

A quality, personal service and prompt on-time delivery is paramount. We have a wide customer base from sole-traders to multi-national companies, some of which have been regular customers for over 10 years.

All our products are either fully recyclable or biodegradable producing minimal waste, and all scrap is recycled into polythene granules and blown into usable film again.

Most of our orders are bespoke so we do not produce a price list or catalogue, however if you let us know your requirements we will be happy to provide quotations, samples and advice. Polythene Bags, Tubing, Sheeting

Polythene bags, tubing and centre-fold or single wound sheeting can be produced in a wide range of sizes, colours and gauges (thickness), plain or printed with punched holes or perforations if required. Also available with a range of specialist additives for specific applications.

Recycling of waste is a growing industry, with the use of different coloured/tinted sacks being used for the segregation of recyclable waste. Kerbside segregated waste collection services can be supplied with bespoke logo printed sacks.

Refuse Sacks & Wheelie Bin Liners

We carry stock of black wheelie bin liners and black and clear refuse sacks. These items can also be made in different sizes, colours and thicknesses, printed if required, loose or perforated on a roll.

Nearly all products can be printed with a fixed or random repeat print in 1, 2 or 3 colour print in a wide range of colours. We can help with the design process if required.

Plain or shrink pallet covers, available in a range of thicknesses. If required they can be printed, flame retardant, UV stabilised, perforated on a core.

Anti-Static Bags

Additives can be used to produce anti-static bags and sheeting for a range of uses and also suitable for printed circuit boards.

Flame Retardant Bags and Covers

Our range of specialised products includes bags and covers made with a flame retardant additive.

Freezer Bags

Bags can be supplied with an EVA addtitive to make them suitable for freezer use down to temperatures of -30C. These food grade bags can be heat sealed.

UV Stabilised Bags

UV stabilised bags and sheeting are made with an additive that inhibits the action of UV rays.

Scented Bags

Scented bags, tubing and sheeting in various frangrances, e.g. lemon or vanilla, are ideal to mask unwanted odours.
