DEVELOPMENT

• Cinisello for PVB, PVC inks and other specialties;
• Willstaett for aseptic, tissue and wood decoration inks;
• are the sites where the division develops the new products and the new applications.

PRODUCT PORTFOLIO

Our portfolio is extremely broad and you can find all products for your final application.
It can be divided into three main groups:

• Solvent based products
• Water based products
• Solvent free products (mainly UV)

SOLVENT BASED PRODUCTS

The solvent based portfolio is divided in different families:

Nitrocellulose based inks

This is the largest family of products of our portfolio covering either flexo either gravure application for most substrates (PE, BOPP, PET, OPA, PVC, PS, cellophanes, paper).

All the products can be supplied as concentrates + technological varnishes or as finished products.

For gravure applications we can supply products either in plurisolvent or monosolvent (Ethyl acetate) technology for recovery plants.

We have three families of NC based concentrates:

• Ethyl acetate monosolvent based for gravure application
• Ethyl alcohol/Ethyl Acetate based for flexo/Gravure application
• Ethoxypropanol based for high printing demanding flexo application.

In the ink portfolio you can find special products such as: Ethoprint, Rotochem and Saphir for alu printing; Flexoplastol , Polial, Polystar and Pyroflex FP for PE applications; Polystar Express, Flexoplastol VF, Pluriprint for highly demanding flexo printing; Flexup for shrinkable PE; and Cinilam and

Multistar used as inks fro lamination, for non sterilisable applications.

Polyamide based inks

There are series suitable for flexo printing on PE (Brightstar and Novaflex)

PVB based inks

This family includes flexo and gravure lamination inks for a large number of films either for very high thermal processes (sterilisation up to 131°C x 50’).

Our Lamistar and Multilam series are outstanding in terms of printability, bond strength values and solvent release.

PVC based inks

XSYS has been the leader of the PVC ink technology for gravure printing for many years, especially on PET and OPA. Terchem and Elioter are well known references in the market when highest bond strength values and very high resistances are requested.

Other ink series

XSYS produces ink series for special applications like CAB/CAP based for BOPP and acrylic or PVDC lacquered films (Duobond, Flexostar and Vinylstar), ink for bottle caps (Alfachem and Vinycap), cigarette tips (Avana or Habana) and more other ones.

Primers, Overprint Varnishes, Release Varnishes Thermosealing Varnishes.

We have one of the widest ranges of these products; for aluminium, plastic films and for metalized films.

Our portfolio for thin aluminium (until 50 microns) covers almost all general applications of the market with standard and special products.

WATER BASED PRODUCTS

In this group too, we deliver either concentrates + technological varnishes or finished inks depending on the demand of the market.

We have two families of water based concentrates:

• ammonia based concentrates
• ammonia free based concentrates

In this group we usually divide the ink series for different applications:

• Corrugated board (Acquasol, Boardline and Topline), pre-print and post-print
• Paper sacks (Acquasol, Acquaprint, Topline and Brightline) for uncoated and coated paper
• Envelopes (Mailflex)
• Wall covering (Acquapar, Cristal, Vinyline) for uncoated and PVC coated paper
• Tissue and napkins (Flexodessin, Softline)
• Aseptic (Flexodessin WK, Multiline) , high speed ink series, specific for this application

SOLVENT FREE PRODUCTS

This is a new group of products, mainly UV curing inks, dedicated to flexible packaging.
Products with excellent adhesion to different non absorbent substrates, outstanding high fastnesses and low odour are available for different final applications. Some EB curing products are also available in this range.
