Moss Nets New Johnsen & Jorgensen Sales Role

Former professional footballer Moss Day (25) is now hoping to score in the packaging industry having joined specialist Johnsen & Jorgensen as its new area sales executive in the North of England.

Liverpudlian Moss, who joined Everton as a seven year old schoolboy and came through the ranks with Wayne Rooney, moved into sales after injury ended his football career in 2005.

He joins Johnsen & Jorgensen after a successful four years as area sales manager for Leeds-based flooring company, Mercado and is already settling into his new role at the Trafford Park, Manchester based business.

"The flooring market, like the construction industry in general, was having a difficult time but my first impression of the packaging sector is that it remains very buoyant. Obviously Johnsen & Jorgensen has an excellent reputation and a strong client base and there are clearly enormous opportunities to build the business across the North of England," said Moss.

As well as starting his new job, Moss is in for a busy year as he prepares to get married in the summer but outside work he still finds time for his first love, football, supporting his favourite team which has, perhaps surprisingly, always been Liverpool.
