Join the Linx World Class Distributor Family at Pack Expo 2011
Linx Printing Technologies will be searching for new distributor partners while visit...
The peace of mind delivered by accurate, reliable and quality coding will be the major theme of the Linx Printing Technologies stand at PPMA Show 2011 and PACK EXPO 2011.
Under the slogan ‘Relax! It's a Linx', visitors to stand E31, at PPMA, and booth S-5158, at PACK EXPO, will be able to explore Linx equipment including continuous ink jet (CIJ), case coding, laser, thermal inkjet (TIJ) and thermal transfer (TT) technologies, all of which demonstrate Linx's commitment to lowest cost of ownership, lowest maintenance, and maximum reliability and uptime.
The brand new Linx CJ400, on show in both markets for the first time, represents the first fundamental change in continuous ink jet printer design in two decades and will be the highlight of the shows.
The Linx CJ400 promises unique portability, fastest set-up and the most simple to use printer. A key innovation of the Linx CJ400 is its Easi-Change® Service Module, which can be changed in minutes using on-screen prompts.
This means that scheduled maintenance is easily completed without the need for a trained technician or costly service calls - a major advantage for smaller customers or those in remote regions. Further self-maintenance features include on-screen trouble shooting, which can solve operating issues without the need to consult manuals or engineers.
Also on show will be the Linx 7300, designed to avoid the hidden costs of coding through low running costs; minimised production downtime, error-free coding and future-proofing.
Among its features are dynamically adjusted service intervals to ensure customers only pay for vital maintenance; the FullFlush® automatic printhead cleaning system; mistake-proof refills with the new SureFill® system and error-free code changes with QuickSwitch® software.
The Linx 4900BC is a total bottle coding solution designed to cope with a range of environments, specifically those that are particularly wet and humid. It comprises a robust CIJ printer with a specially developed sticky ink for permanent coding and a unique air knife drying system, ensuring reliable 24/7 operation at the high speeds required.
For case coding applications, Linx is exhibiting the Linx IJ350 large character printer. Key innovations include an automated self-cleaning printhead with a patented recirculating system; this guarantees that every drop of ink is used, reducing the printer's running costs, while maintaining high print quality.
Alongside it will be the Linx IJ200 thermal inkjet (TIJ) cartridge printer, a cost-effective, trouble-free alternative to label printing that is particularly suited to smaller operations.
For applications requiring laser technology, Linx is exhibiting its SL501 and SL301 scribing laser coders at PPMA and its SL101 scribing laser coder at PACK EXPO. Central to the Linx SL range is its innovative Visicode® technology: developed to deliver a much clearer code onto cold glass without compromising on speed, while keeping running costs low. This makes Linx scribing laser coders ideal for coding many different types of packaging, particularly bottles used for drinks.
The Linx TJ125 is a simple case coder using thermal inkjet technology, particularly suitable for secondary packaging such as outer cases, cartons or trays. It offers users of roller coders a low cost of ownership digital solution with rapid message changeover capability. The printer system consists of a handheld controller for programming and set up, connected to a small printhead assembly, into which the TIJ ink cartridge is inserted. Installation on the production line is so simple that customers can do it themselves.
For the thermal transfer coding market, Linx will be demonstrating the TT5 printer at PACK EXPO, designed to optimise productivity with its unique clutchless bi-directional ribbon drive that means minimal risk of ribbon breaks and no mechanical adjustments needed to maintain ribbon tension. The TT5 printer is also now available with an IP55 variant for washdown applications.
The Linx TT printers are offered with the proven Linx suite of coding management systems, which enables centralised message creation, rule-based data management to meet variations in production, and networking to provide instantaneous, accurate flow of information to coders.
