Management Changes at Bradman Lake
Following last month's acquisition of Autowrappers, Europack and GEI Ashford, a new B...
A fully integrated, automatic, confectionery bar packing line featuring the latest advances in robotic top load cartoning technology will be the main attraction on Bradman Lake stand 5610.
The central unit of the working demonstration will be the Group’s medium speed LJ300M robotic collator/pick & place loader first seen at PPMA in October. The ABB Flex-Picker will load 6 bars at a time into cartons fed from a new AMI erector developed by Bradman Lake Germany. Cartons will be sealed on a Compact lugless closer using proven Flexible Carton Control system.
Individual chocolate bars to feed the cartoner will be flow wrapped at 200ppm on a Flowtronic 120 machine from Autowrappers while packing filled cartons of 6 bars for distribution will be on a Europack shrinkwrapper.
As well as demonstrating Innovation, the stand fulfills the Show’s other theme of Total Integration from product infeed through to end-of-line packaging.
The line will employ electronic motion controls and interactive touch screens with real time performance monitored and maintained at peak efficiency by BLTechnology’s information and control systems, now renamed Visda.
Progress through innovation is also shown by the other working exhibit on the stand. The fully automatic SL904 cartoner, designed for large-scale end load operations at speeds up to 160cpm, is available with robotic or barrel cam product loading. Servo drives power all functions, giving the option of continuous or intermittent running.
At 278m2, the Bradman Lake Group stand 5610 in Hall 5 is the company’s largest-ever display at an international packaging exhibition.
