Ingeo™ Biopackaging

With two major international players present at the fair, KYK and Pack & Proper Co. Ltd., as well as a strong European presence from Polyfilms, Netstal, Group Guillin, Sleever International and Packtex/Subrenat, the product variety and offer reflects the steady and increasing adoption of the unique Ingeo™ biopolymer for contemporary lifestyle and packaging products

Biopackaging Made From Plants

Ingeo™ Biopackaging represents an ingenious new material that’s made from plants not oil. Many of the environmental benefits that come with it include that it’s derived entirely from annually renewable plant resources. Ingeo™ innovations use 65% percent less fossil fuel resources than traditional polymers such as PET, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions by up to 80-90%. Additionally, all packaging style whether rigid, film or foam-based, including grab-and-go service ware products, made from Ingeo™ natural plastic perform as well or better in comparison to those made from conventional oil-based plastics. Ingeo™ has excellent clarity, gloss and rigidity. It keeps food fresh with good aroma barrier properties and is easy to transform, shape, emboss and print. And, being a natural biopolymer, Ingeo™ packaging offers the potential for more disposal and recovery options.
