Design and Installation of Dust Extraction Systems

We have designed comprehensive dust extraction systems; these include handling Lead Dust, with extraction rates of 50,000 cubic metres per hour, per single plant. The filters were cartridge filters followed by pre filters followed by H.E.P.A. filters.
The smallest systems can serve one wood working machine like a dimension saw, this would probably utilise a single bag dust collector.

Paddle Bladed Fans

Our paddle bladed fans have been designed to handle large pieces of wood off cuts, thick paper and cardboard, the impellors can be made from mild steel, stainless steel and hard ware resistant material. There are the high efficiency backward laminar flow fans for handling large volumes of air.
Axial flow fans are incorporated after our paper trim separator systems. The single bag dust collectors are mainly used in the wood waste extraction plants, these are ideal for the smaller wood working machines like routers, saws, planers and thicknessers.

Compressed Air Cleaned, Bag and Cartridge Filters

We design a range of continuously rated compressed air cleaned, bag and cartridge filters. These run 24 hours per day 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They require a minimal amount of service or maintenance.
There are two basic types of cyclones we supply, the wide bodied low pressure type and the taller high efficiency cyclones. These are ideal for handle and separating the product from the transport air. Many different products are handled by the cyclones including, paper, sawdust, shavings, plastics, rubber crumb and many more.

Air/Product Separators Handling Paper Trim and Cardboard

We make the Air/Product Separators, these are ideal for handling paper trim and cardboard. Our sister company Nicholls Engineering Services Limited are the UK agents for the Spanish range of Balers produced by Jovisa.
Jovisa produce one of the most comprehensive and up to date range of machinery for recycling paper and cardboard. A varied range of shredders are available, from the single shaft, twin shaft, four shafts and hammer mill type.

Factory Compactors for Waste Paper and Cardboard

Nicholls Engineering Limited manufactures two standard sizes of compactors, built to a top quality standard. There is also the range of smaller vertical compactors for use inside a factory for waste paper and cardboard. Our range of ducting is comprehensive, there is the spiral wound variety, fully welded and flanged, plus the lighter gauged slip jointed and clip jointed. Wood waste storage silo’s come in sizes from 2 tons up to 50 tons storage capacity.

Pneumatic Conveying Systems

We design pneumatic conveying systems to handle wood waste, paper, cardboard, plastics, rubber crumb and many more. We can transfer these products over long distances. We design venturi systems; these also transport products which are not suitable for passing through a fan or rotary valve. Our rotary valves are heavy duty and range from 500mm long up to 2000mm long. There are three diameters of valves, 200mm, 350mm and 600mm. Jovisa supply 5 sizes of Reel Splitters, and these are used to slice open reel ends to allow the cardboard core to be safely removed and the good paper to be recycled. Jovisa also supply six sizes of Trommel Screens, these are used at Recycling centres to separate out the various items of plastic, paper and other types of materials. We design several types of noise attenuation; there is the enclosure to completely cover a noisy machine, pod silencers for reducing the noise transmitted out the end of a duct, plus in line duct silencers for limiting the noise from the inlet and outlet of a fan.

There are the PLC control panels specifically designed for the fully automatic waste handling systems, these ensure that one press of a button will allow the major components to start up, run and shut down correctly. A range of compressors provide the reverse pulsed filters to be cleaned in an efficient manor and at the correct pressures. We design several types of conveyors, from the small single phase units fight up to the 2000mm wide with all metal components. Last but not least, there are many types of granulators we are able to offer for a huge range of products.
